Hizi-Hizi Bellydance

How and When I started Dancing:
I started taking dance lessons when I was about 7 years old. I first did ballet with Rosemary Gallaghar for 3 years and then made a transition to Modern Dancing. It was only at the age of 11 that my mom took me to one of her Belly Dance classes that she was attending with a friend. After the lesson I felt inspired and knew that Belly Dance had something special, something different. I then started going to classes 3 times a week and couldn’t get enough!

Definitely the moment of my dance career that stands out the most is sharing a stage with Bozenka, from Belly Dance Superstars, and Karim Nagi. In 2012 I was the first runner up at The Miss Belly Dance South Africa competition.

At the age of 18, I went to London for a short working Holiday. I signed up at a Belly Dance Studio in my area and attended regular classes for the duration of my stay which was 6 months.
In August 2012 I travelled to Greece for an Oriental Festival called Cairo by Night and was asked to perform in their Gala Show. The festival is 4 days long and 21 International Instructors presented workshops.
