How and When I started Dancing:
Since a little girl I have loved dancing and started Ballet before I even started school. I took Dance Studies at school and attended classes for almost every dance form before finding my passion and niche in Belly dancing. I started learning the amazing art of Belly dance in 2007 and since then my life has been captivated by this enchanting form of expression.

Training Background:
Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Figure skating, Freestyle, Latin American and Social Ballroom are the genres of dance I have thoroughly enjoyed.¬† I was part of Diana Moore’s Dance World Hip-Hop formation team in 2009 where we competed and came second in the Discorama dance competition in 2008. I started learning the amazing art of Belly dance in 2007 and since then have attended various workshops including a fanviel workshop by Aviva, Azizas undulations workshop, Facial Expressions by Bozenka, Rhythm for Dancers by Karim an a Saidi workshop by Ava from Akasha Raqs.

Performance Highlights:
I am proudly part of the Hizi-Hizi troupe and besides the regular performances at various restaurants and festivals like Ocean Basket, Parea and numerous Lebanese church functions, some of my career highlights include performing in the TV show Music Moves Me on SABC 2, performing annually at Lusito Land, Champion’s Day at Turfontien Racecourse and being part of the “Cairo to Cuba” cast.

Apart from Dancing,

Studies & Job:
Basic Life Support training at Netcare School of emergency and Critical care. Basic Ambulance Assistant, volunteered with Netcare 911 ambulance service during 2011.
Currently studying a Bachelor of Nursing at Wits Medical School whilst working at Charlotte Maxeke academic hospital.
Part time, I also enjoy baking wedding, birthday, bachelorette and baby shower specialty cakes and cupcakes.

Other Skills & Achievements:

I enjoy sketching and painting and have won various art competitions including receiving full colours for culture in school and receiving a Gold award for drawing and painting in the National Eisteddfod. I have also received my SADTA- Honours for Hip Hop, freestyle and Cha Cha.
