How and When I started Dancing:
Age 4 (1999) @ Diana Moore dance world Freestyle / Hip Hop /Rock and Roll
Age 9 (2004) @ Diana Moore – Belly dancing: Teacher Tarryn Rego


Training Background:
I trained Freestyle / Hip Hop / Rock and Roll – partaking in medal tests and competitions up to 2004.  Achieved mostly 1st and 2nd place in all competitions entered.  Joined Tarryn Rego in 2004 for belly dancing and became so passionate about this dance style that I focussed all my time and energy on belly dancing only.  Been dancing as part of the Hizi-Hizi belly dance troupe and with teacher T.Rego from 2004 to current (12 years). During this time the group performed various dance styles in shows ranging from belly dancing/Latin/Hip Hop/Free Style to Contemporary, Flamenco and burlesque.


Performance History (Current & part regular gigs):
My First solo performance-age 11 (2006) at Lusito Land Festival.
Performed at various popular venues:

Performed for various charity events : Annual Greek festival (featured in Germiston city news 2009)/Greek and Lebanese festivals and churches/Lusito land (every year since 2006)/Turfontein Raceway as well as various private functions and show arranged by choreographer/teacher Tarryn Rego : Dance in Motion 2007/2008/2010/Night of the Veils/Cairo 2 Cuba/Extravi-Dance


Performance Highlights:
Performed with the Hizi-Hizi group in Cairo to Cuba season 1/2/3 as well as Extravi-Dance. Taxi association – for the launch of the new16 seater taxi.  In 2012 performed at World belly dance day and was asked as part of the Hizi-Hizi group to perform at the Montenegro Dance Festival

Apart from Dancing,

Studies & Job: Grade 11 Student and looking towards study as Civil Engineer at Potchefstroom University

Featured in the Alberton Record for 2nd princess Miss Alberton – modelling (2004). Featured on SABC 1/2/3 in Adds for Edgards (2009)
